Story

You can join BAMOM by contacting our membership mom at membership@houstontwins.com and she will give you all the details! Our membership process goes through our member’s only website on https://www.bigtent.com/groups/bamoms.
When dues are paid, an invitation is sent to you by our membership board member.

BAMOM Annual Dues are $30 for our fiscal year of August 1 – July 31.

*Members joining on or after April 1^st pay only $20.

What is included in my membership?

Membership in the National Organization for Mothers of Twins Clubs (NOMOTC) - with quarterly newsletters
Membership in the Texas Mothers of Multiples club (TMOM) - with opportunity to attend annual conventions and online quarterly newsletter
Monthly general meetings
Access to our private, Members only website with forums, online marketplace, calendars, photo sharing and more.
Bi-annual Buy & Sell (garage sale) - Members can sell items and/or shop early
BAMOM only events for family, Girls Night Out and KIDS!
Library - books on everything from being pregnant with multiples to raising multiples and Signing time DVD’s for kids
Playdates
Community of help while on bedrest, with newborns or during rough times with raising children.
Fun, friendship and support from people who REALLY DO understand.

What is included on your members only website?

Members only website includes:

Private forums
Ask your fellow BAMOM members anything: How to feed 2-3 children at once; What stroller should I buy; Local childcare or doctor recommendations; and... of course... a lot of advice, friendship and good laughs (recent posts include: How do I keep my boy's bathroom from smelling like a monkey cage? and How do I keep my babies from climbing out of the crib?!)

Marketplace
Buy and sell items online to other BAMOM members. Uses bidding process and works with PayPal. (Recent for sale items include: cribs, strollers, clothes, bikes and a free bed...)

Event planning
Online calendar allows BAMOM members to plan playdates and social activities. The calendar allows for RSVP and reminders (which we need...)

Roster
Need to find that BAMOM you met at the park? Do a search for her. Review the list of members to see who has children the same age as yours and plan a playdate!

Polls
Need to find out what stroller to buy? Side-by-side or tandem? Want to know where BAMOMs buy diapers? Our BAMOM polls allow to you to quickly check what fellow BAMOMs think! (Side-by-sides are preferred...)

What are some of your club Events?

BAMOM Members participate in BAMOM only special events.
BAMOM events include (but can't possibly be limited to...):

BAMOM Parties with discounted tickets at local entertainment parks. Recent parties included Moody Gardens Palm Beach, Monkey-n-Around, Bouncing places and more...
Access to big-group power: Last year BAMOM "rented" the local mall Santa for a few hours. Members were allowed plenty of time for photos and bonding with the big, red man.
Spring and Fall parties (The Easter bunny shows up every year...)
Adult only events (Recent adult fun include a Golf Scramble, Hair Bow making class and after meeting social time (We rarely get out of the house without our kids... so we pack a LOT of fun into an evening...)

What do you DO at the meetings?

We have a very creative core of people who organize each meeting to meet the needs of our members. We invite specialists to speak to members, have social time and answer member questions. At each meeting we allow new or pregnant moms to break into a small group with an "expert" mom to ask questions.

Recent meetings have included:
Pediatrician specializing in multiples and premature babies
Advice from a Home Organizer
Marriage and family counselor
Ice cream social
Bunco night
Twin panel (Adult twins tell what they liked and didn't like about being a twin and being raised as a twin or triplet)

Mom Panel (Our moms tell it like it is)

But... I can't go to meetings...
Hey - We understand. Actually, quite a few of our members can't make it to meetings.

The online community, discounts for events and Buy-n-Sell usually satisfies most members.
We recently asked members why they stay a part of the group for year after year... The biggest response? The friendship, laughs and advice.

Help? I feel overwhelmed...
Yes, yes... we know.
When you join BAMOM, you'll be assigned a BigSis who will help to answer your questions.

If you're on bedrest or at home with newborns, we'll help organize meals for you.

The online BAMOM community is a great place to vent your fears, frustrations and joys.
